This is a superb scent bottle in fine glass & Sterling Silver filigree, hallmarked for 1900 - (I believe it is London but haven't seen the London mark) - and with a maker's mark for WC - William Comyns. The photos don't show well the quality of the glass. There is a good ground pontil, a dimple on each side and a diamond shape patterning to the glass (I have no idea how this effect is achieved).
The silver can be seen well in the photos with scrolls, trelissing and flowers and a scene on the top with figures. It is 5 inches tall. The base measures 3.5 x 3.5 inches across the bottom. It is all in excellent condition. There is a chip to the top of the stopper which I have photographed.
The base of the glass has a fair amount of age wear scratching. There are some slight bubbles in the glass as would be expected and some inclusions/dark specs. Please feel free to ask any questions.
I have some other interesting silver items by William Comyns at the moment so do look at my other items.
