Antique Vtg Large French Demijohn Glass Bottle Basket La Bastide Lozere France. Antique French Demijohn Glass Bottle in Basket -This is a very old large French bottle that is housed in a wicker basket -The bottle is very large, most likely hand blown and is thick green glass. It has a cork on top that is missing some of its edges as shown -There is a very old metal tag attached to the basket which reads "La Bastide (Lozere) Notre Dame des Neiges" and the number "44588" -The basket has two handles which are attached well -The basket and bottle measure about 18" tall and about a 15" in diameter -Weight is just under 10 lbs -Overall it is in very good condition, basket material has some dust present, some of the basket pieces are loose and broken on the bottom probably from sitting for so long. A small loose piece of wicker around the neck of the bottle. The bottle appears to be woven in and unremovable from the basket.

There is hay like material around the bottle most likely to pad the bottle in the basket. The basket integrity is still present and holds the bottle well.
