This is what we believe to be a large Willem I/Willem II Dutch olive green glass mould-blown gin bottle dating from sometime in the late 18th century, c1790. The bottle is in excellent condition for its age. This means, of course, that it shows considerable age related wear and tear to the base commensurate with use.

The base is kicked in by a couple of centimetres and carries a rough pontil mark. The bottle is in the dark green colourway and is plain from the base to the pouring rim. The base measures 8 cm (3.2 inches) square. The bottle is 27.5 cm (11 inches) in height.

There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any evidence of restoration. There are a large number of tiny trapped air bubbles in the metal of the bottle. The item "Large Georgian Dutch gin bottle, kicked in base, rough pontil mark" is in sale since Saturday, June 29, 2019.
