For sale here is this massive green glass 14 gallon demijohn. We believe this to have a French origin, was likely manufactured in the early 1900s, and has the classic wavy glass with numerous occlusions and bubbles from the glass blowing process. This demijohn was most likely used for wine or oil transport or storage, rather than chemicals. This apple shaped form, overall size, and the rough cut top all make this bottle appear to be fairly rare. The demijohn stands approx 26 tall and approx. 18 at its widest point. This would be a terrific décor enhancement to almost any setting.
Could also be a fabulous feature in a bar or Mediterranean restaurant.
