ANTIQUE BACCARAT or VAL ST. WILD ROSES, ROSE BUDS, AND LEAVES. FROSTED CLEAR ETCHED FERN BACKGROUND. 8" HIGH x 3" WIDE.
Thank you for your interest in this beautiful, larger-than-usually found, antique Art Nouveau period, c1910, Baccarat France or Val St. Lambert Belgium Eglantier pattern perfume bottle.
This perfume or cologne bottle, which measures a substantial 8" high x 3" wide, features cranberry cut-to-clear wild roses, buds and leaves over a frosted clear etched fern background and a stunning facet-cut clear crystal stopper. The stopper is original to the bottle; both are marked #19 (marking on bottom of bottle difficult to read because of normal contact / surface scuffing on base). There is a tiny ding on one facet of the stopper (photo #10), a chipped / flaked area on the bottom of the stopper (photo #9, not visible when stopper is inserted into bottle) and some whitish residue on the outer perimeter of the interior bottom of the bottle (photo #12). The Eglantier design, which was produced by both Baccarat and Val St.
Lambert during the same period, is pictured in books on antique perfume bottles. This perfume bottle would add distinction to an existing collection or make a statement of refinement and elegance as a beautiful decorative display on its own. I will endeavor at all times to provide a full and accurate description augmented by photos that are to be considered an integral part of the description. Again, thank you for your interest.
