The original stopper is in the shape of a lily fower too. This "Le Lys" bottle is repertoried and photographed in the large Marcilhac book, the unofficial; "Lalique Bible" on page 944 of the French 2010 edition under reference "D'Orsay 20" (photo 10). The signature, R LALIQUE, is under the base, accompanied by a hand etched scribbled number which was destined to perfectly adequate the bottle and the stopper. All high-end parfumeurs did it, a moot point here as there is no stopper. The condition of the bottle itself.
No nick, chip or even fleabite, but... There is no original stopper.
I shall gladly provide one that fits if asked, but it will be a different one (photos 5,6,7). Of course, the price has been very much discounted to account for this, creating an opportunity to acquire cheaply an otherwise much more expensive piece. The item "Rene Lalique 1920 Large Bottle for Le Lys d'Orsay. No Stopper" is in sale since Saturday, April 3, 2021.
